How Aquasilk Filters Your Water
Two filtration stages work together to help reduce residual chlorine and trap visible impurities before the water reaches you.
PP Filter
AquaSilk’s PP filter physically traps rust, sediment, dirt, and other visible particles as water passes through.
As trapped material accumulates, the filter gradually darkens, giving you a visible indication of what it has collected over time.
Vitamin C Filter
AquaSilk uses ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) to help neutralize residual free chlorine as water passes through the cartridge.

How long before I replace the filter?
We recommend replacing the Vitamin C cartridge every 2–3 months, or earlier if you notice that the Vitamin C has significantly faded or dissolved. The PP filter should be replaced every 1–2 months, with around 1.5 months being a good average depending on your water quality and usage.
Our 3-Month Refill Pack includes 1 Vitamin C cartridge + 2 PP filters, giving you the recommended replacements for approximately three months of regular use.
Will AquaSilk fit my shower?
AquaSilk is designed to connect directly to most standard shower hoses. Simply unscrew your existing handheld showerhead and attach AquaSilk in its place.
No special installation is normally required. Just make sure the connection is securely tightened before use.
Does AquaSilk reduce water pressure?
No. AquaSilk is designed to maintain a strong shower flow and can even make the water feel more concentrated and pressurized through its shower plate design.
It also features an adjustable water-flow control, allowing you to make the flow stronger or gentler depending on your preference.
Note: AquaSilk does not increase your home's actual plumbing pressure. The showerhead design can make the outgoing spray feel stronger and more concentrated.
How do I replace the filters?
Replacing the filters only takes a few steps.
For the PP filter, twist the main body of the AquaSilk to unscrew it, remove the used filter rod, insert the new PP filter, and screw the body back together securely.
For the Vitamin C cartridge, unscrew the chrome-plated front portion of the showerhead, remove the used Vitamin C cartridge, and insert the replacement before reattaching the front.
When reassembling the front of the showerhead, make sure the shower plate with the water holes is positioned correctly. If it is placed the wrong way, water may not flow properly through the showerhead.
Is Vitamin C actually released into the shower water?
Yes. As water passes through the Vitamin C cartridge, the Vitamin C gradually dissolves into the flowing water while helping neutralize chlorine.
This is why the cartridge slowly becomes smaller and fades with regular use. The Vitamin C is part of the filtration process and is carried through the shower water, rather than simply sitting inside the showerhead.
Is AquaSilk suitable for sensitive skin or scalp?
AquaSilk is designed to provide a gentler-feeling shower experience by helping neutralize chlorine and filtering sediment, rust particles, and other visible impurities before the water reaches your skin and hair.
For people with sensitive skin or scalp, harsh water conditions and certain impurities may contribute to dryness, irritation, or discomfort, especially with frequent exposure. By helping reduce these factors, AquaSilk may make shower water feel more comfortable and less harsh.
How long does the included filter set last?
With normal use, the included Vitamin C cartridge and PP filter should provide approximately 2–3 months of use, although replacement frequency will depend on your water quality and how often you shower.
Because the PP filter generally needs to be changed more frequently, we recommend keeping replacement PP filters available once the first filter begins to discolor or reaches around 1–2 months of use.
